Hoi An Hotel News - An exhibition featuring English Bridget March’s 30 watercolor paintings of Hoi An is ongoing at the world famous resort town, Indochine Hoi An newspaper reported Tuesday.
Known as “A week in Hoi An,” the display at No.46 Nguyen Thai Hoc Street was due to end on May 24.
March, a former senior lecturer at an independent art college in her home country, moved to Ho Chi Minh City for drawing and painting in September 2012 after visiting a friend who has lived here for more than 10 years.
She has since traveled to many places around the country.
Her first visit in Hoi An came in December that same year. During her ten days there, she carried a sketch book with her, recording what she saw with drawings and notes, from famous works like the Japanese bridge, to local people’s daily life.
In all, there were 60 color illustrations recording her trip, part of which were featured in a book also titled “A week in Hoi An” that she released last June.
